Photographed attempting to roost in next door's garden for the day. He was convinced that his camouflage as a tree was undetectable. To be fair, if he had been IN a tree, it would have been. Bless him. He got bothered by the other birds all day and at twilight he flew back to his nocturnal life again. Just precious.

Birthday chocolate!

Today I got acknowledgement of achievement from 5 Directors - 12 months after the work commenced... Ace. Celebrated by breaking lent with a bottle of fizz. I so rarely note my successes! No foto! Imagine - daughter on one side, father on other of table at local pub restaurant. 2 hours, talk and laughter - Dad telling daughter wot to do and ditto daughter telling Dad. family bliss

27th March - Simpsons on the Strand - Dad shows off his carving skills and cuts masses of beef and lamb for Mum, Amo, Bro and new girlfriend!

Remember that baked landscape yesterday?

This was the view today. The bushfire started within hours of us being there, just up the road. And no, we don't smoke or chuck bottles out of car windows. Everyone's been waiting for further news. This is a biggie.

We had an afternoon out, walked over the dam and got blown by the wind. So beautiful here with the water surrounded by the aridness of the baked landscape.

Dinner at the priest's house. Forgot to take any pics of the people (oops) but I did get this lovely one of the resident huntsman outside. He was about 3" toe-to-toe. Slightly alarming, but harmless.
