About to have an hour with the physio - get to the gym at least 3x per week for 20mins physio but making not a single pound dent in my weight and I am not over-eating
Just not dieting as such - looks like I have no choice but to enter the world of calorie
Counting - something I have always hated!! Going to try the 5+2 way
Two days less than 600 calories in every 7 and not consecutive
Should be doable !! Need something to help me stay in my clothes!!
A and R have been friends since school. When we were living on opposite sides of the world, we started this blog to keep in touch. Now we are in the same country but it is still a lovely way to share our lives.

Week 4 roundup
One day late but:
9st 2lb.
The same as last week.
4lbs down on starting weight.
This week I'm by myself so it's going to be quite hard not to "comfort-eat". No baddies on Friday night though, or if I do, it will be baddies of my choice rather than DH's favourite pizza. Maybe I'll go Chinese. :-)

Week 4 un-roundup
I don't believe it. After such a good weekend with A, so much better than usual food-wise, I was all excited last night about this morning's weigh-in, then I forgot until after I'd had breakfast! Gaaaaah. So I am 9st 4lbs minus whatever a big mug of green tea, 2 boiled eggs and a slice of flax toast with Marmite weighs.
Come on A, get your interwebs sorted so you can update!

Week 3 roundup
9st 2lb.
0.5lb down on last week.
4lbs down from starting weight.
Not bad considering that last week we had Shrove Tuesday (pancakes!) and FIL's/MIL's 45th anniversary meal yesterday.
Now my jeans are comfortable around the legs and bottom, but I need a belt to hold them up.

Week 1 round-up
It's Monday again. After a really bad weekend, food-wise, I was expecting a disappointment when I got on the scales this morning, but I was wrong.
9st 3.5lbs.
Net loss 2.5lbs.
Score! So it IS worth being really disciplined during the week, and I CAN get away with a bit of a weekend blow-out.
I'm carrying on with this but I won't post every day. I'll try to remember a weekly update on Monday mornings. Weigh-ins ought to be weekly really not daily, but for the first week I wanted to know how my body was reacting. It was interesting.
See you next week!

Sunday
I was up at stupid-o'clock in the dark this morning to set up the church, as I was serving. Didn't weigh myself.
Breakfast: banana and green tea before I remembered the scales.
Lunch: sushi at Yo!
Tea: 2 pieces of flax bread, one with smoked salmon and the other with mozzarella cheese.
Sins: one of the sushi dishes had breadcrumbs on, dessert, After Eights, mozzarella cheese.
I should have said some prayers in church, because goodness knows what this weekend has done to my weight. Tomorrow will be interesting.

Scales - 1, R - 0
As expected, but only by 1lb. 9st 3.5 this morning.
But I have a Chinese lunch out with friends so it might go up again tomorrow. I'll just have to be as healthy as possible.
Breakfast: banana & green tea
Lunch: Chinese - I was good actually. I had mainly veggies (ginger broccoli, mmmmm!) with just a little chicken in black bean sauce (unbreaded) and some omelette for protein. I did have half a slice of something optimistically called black forest gateau, which was pink and yellow and tasted vaguely of raspberries! Didn't like it much so I left the biggest bit.
Dinner: Fish and chips. I didn't feel like it, but DH had had a rotten day and fancied it so what's a girl to do?
Sins: "Chinese" cake, fish and chips.

R - 1, scales - 0
Remembered to weigh myself this morning. 9st 2.5. Net loss since Monday = 3.5 lbs.
Breakfast: banana & green tea
Lunch: soup & trail mix
Tea: one of my sin meals of the week (hence the small lunch) - pizza with DH. It's our treat night and one of the only 2 dirty meals I'm allowing myself in a week. Red wine probably.

Scales - 0, R - 1
{air-punch}
Yes I know it's only been a day, but that day of detoxing has made a difference already. This morning my scales show 9st 3.5lbs.
That makes me feel good.
Today's menu:
Breakfast: banana
Lunch: 1-egg omelette with the end of the smoked salmon, half a courgette, 1 small onion, garlic. And the rest of the trail mix. I need to make some more.
Dinner: kedgeree made with olive oil, rice, hard boiled egg, courgette, a shallot, and a generous shake of curry powder and dried chopped parsley. Fresh blueberries with Alpro vanilla dessert.
Sins: 1 piece of dark mint chocolate, the half tub of Alpro and a handful of carob drops.
Let's see what tomorrow will bring.

Scales - 1, R - 0
It's no good, something has to be done. This morning I stood on the scales and was horrified to read 9 st 6. I'm at least half a stone heavier than I want to be. Ideally I'd like to be about 8 and a half stone - no lighter, because then I tend to catch bugs. But all my jeans and trousers are squashing me, and the next size up gapes around the waist so the change has to be in me.
And when A called me for a lovely chat, she said the same thing! Excellent - I have a buddy to work with, and moan at, and be hungry and cold and miserable with! ;-)
I know that if I go heavy on the veg, fruit and protein and light on the carbs, I will get fast results. That's the way my bod works. So the change started at once.
Breakfast: banana, green tea
Lunch: home-made vegetable soup (no bread), home-made trail mix with lots of almonds, pumpkin seeds, dried cherries, blueberries, and cranberries.
Half-past-foursies: more trail mix
Tea: 2 boiled eggs, 1 slice of flax bread toasted (kind of - I was too impatient!) spread with Marmite
Supper (because I know I'll get peckish later): more trail mix
Sins: 1 piece of mint dark chocolate
What are you having A?
